PRAYER #45 - SUNDAY SCHOOL

Sheila - (Mobile, Alabama, USA)

Help-I need to know whether to back out of teaching a Sunday School class or not.

Someone is creating all kinds of drama and backbiting for no reason and making teaching very difficult.

Do I defend myself - let her push me around - get out or call a meeting with the five people she's thus far involved. Her dramas are not anything that involves reality.

I'm a good teacher - 30 years of teaching and people are being blessed but she and the two council members she has run to are making everything such a trial...I cannot understand what she wants although I and the other sub (she's the third sub) have asked her repeatedly what she wants. She says all is well and then later calls, texts or emails others complaining that she is being slighted and treated unfairly.

I am so upset about all this - it's a new class and I don't know what to do. The people in the class love it but it's getting me crazy. I need to hear from God on this one...

Seems to be jealousy and competition with this person. Remember, God test, and Satan tempts. Where there is a test there is temptation. Jesus has always asked us to pray for our enemies and our fellow Christian. Also, ask God if there is anything in your heart that needs to be rid of about this person. Focus on your God given talent in teaching God's children. Focus on God and find time to get alone and listen to some praise music. Not in the gospel but in 1 John there one ca see the love of God but also how we should love the unlovely. Remain calm in the storm and by your example may reap coals on this person's head to repent. This will take much patience and God's love to help you. Keep on teaching your children and focus on the Love of Christ. I believe this person is hurting deep inside and has allowed pride to blind and control, therefore, wants to cause you unhappiness. Pray for this person by doing so pleases your Heavenly Father. God can do the impossible and you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. I will be in prayer for both of you. God bless you and keep the peace in the storm knowing God will hold you up.
