PRAYER #55 - SUICIDE ATTEMPT & FINANCES

We just received this prayer request. I have contacted Jarrod immediately and I am seeing how I can help him in addition to prayer.

Here is what Jarrod wrote me,

My roommate/friend just attempted suicide for the 4th time since we moved in together. I feel like it's my fault, and bills are due and there's not enough money to pay for even the basics. I don't know what to do or how to react. I wish I were dead, I want for God to call me home.

Just wanted to let you know and ask you to pray for my brother in-law Jim (Kathy's husband). He had a heart attack and is going to be having a triple bypass this friday, all three arteries are totally blocked. As if that's not enough, just before this heart attack he found out that his kidneys were shot and he was going to need a kidney transplant. While at the hospital he's been undergoing dialysis but, now the kidney's are secondary to the heart. As you can imagine with his body in such a compromised state this surgery comes with a load of risk. Kathy and the kids are doing pretty well considering and at this time would greatly appreciate your prayers for Jim. Thank you! Love, Mary

PRAYER #53 - MY MARRIAGE

Need continued prayers for my wife's healing, for God to place forgiveness in her heart for me, and that she will want to move toward the restoration of our marriage. I have told her that I want to reconcile, and have done all that I can to let her know that I want our marriage forever. She has told me she doesn't know if she wants our marriage anymore, and doesn't know if she will ever trust me again and move past this. She says I need to give her time and space to figure out what she wants now, during this separation, and I know I need to give her that. I also face unemployment, as my company is in bankruptcy, and the job market is tough. I having a hard time coping with all of this, and the fact that she may not want us ever again. We have been together for 23 years, and married for over 21 years. Our names are Tim & Heidi in NJ

PRAYER #52 - CAR ACCIDENT / COMA

Shannon, 25, from near Clearwater, British Columbia, was in a very serious car accident and has been in a coma for for the last 5 weeks. She has at least some degree of brain damage and has had done numerous surgeries for broken bones and all is mending, but she is not coming out of the coma.

Please pray for her!

PRAYER #51 - CAR ACCIDENT

I was asked by a good friend of mine for much needed prayer. This morning my friends son-in-law, Pete was involved in a horrific car accident. Pete was air lifted to the hospital with an aorta injury. Please pray for Pete that God would do a great healing on his injuries. Also pray for Pete's wife and children as well as the extended family as they go through this ordeal.

May God's will be done..............

UPDATE 11/13/09

Get this out on the Need Prayer Now Blog. On Saturday, the trauma team, after taking a miriad of MRI's released him from trauma ICU to a regular ICU. The doctors decided not to do surgery on his aorta tear (flap inside the heart). By Monday Pete was released to a regular room. The last MRI showed that the tear was healing on its own. On Tuesday they released him home. Prais God!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! An injury like this normally is fatal. The did find a fracture in his neck so he will be wearing a half halo (hmmm) for a couple of months.

PRAYER #50 - MY CHILDREN

I am asking prayer for God to move upon the lawyers and the courts to set an immediate date to began the court hearings so that I may get full custody of my two small children. It has already been two months and with in that time I have not been permitted to see them. I pray also that God will tell them I do still love and care for them. I am believing that in the name of Jesus I already have them.

PRAYER #49 - IN A COMA FOR A YEAR

Hi To All ,

Hope all is well with you. I received word today about a seventeen year old Page High School student named Matt Hodge; he was hit by a train, and has been at Vanderbilt in a coma for a year now with a one percent mortality rate. We serve a big GOD and as we know HE can do anything. Matt has been moving one foot which has the Doctors hopeful and is the reason they have not pulled the plug. Please send this to all your prayer warriors and let’s believe for a miracle that will astound all involved. I pray for revelation knowledge for the doctors and nurses treating him that he gets the right amount of medicine and treatment and that a huge army of GOD’S very elect elite surround him to do battled over him. God please increase the faith of others around him so they will speak life and not death over him in the name of Jesus. I pray the word of GOD be read daily to him because I do believe he can hear and understand things around him. Thanks! Patty S.

That all who are ill among my family and friends may be restored to health in mind, body, and spirit.

That all who suffer from mental disease may receive compassionate treatment.

That all the homebound and bedridden may have Christ as their consolation.

That all who suffer from diseases that devastate the body may be granted strength and hope.

That all with disabling handicaps may be blessed with forbearance.

That all doctors, nurses, and other caregivers may be well in body and spirit.

That our lawmakers will pass laws to ensure that proper, dignified medical care is available for all who are in need, especially the poor and the elderly.

That God might look with favor on my special intentions.
